Are you a professional providing pet care?
You will be able to successfully network between other members of your industry both locally as well as internationally. As a Professional Member you will have access to the “Professionals Corner” forums. Discuss local issues such as legislations, reputable shops to service your vehicle, or your favorite parks in the Regional forums. Benefit from sharing general advice and experience with all pet care providers in the Non Regional section.
One of our objectives is to help you grow your business with the use of the power of networking. As a member of TPCN, we ask that when you receive a request for service from a client you are unable to help, either direct this person to post their request for service here or do so yourself using the regional “Looking for Pet Care” forums. Other Professional Members of the Network will be able to review the request and reply if they are able to take on the client. By working co-operatively every one benefits. You can also post to find replacement professionals for your clients while you’re on vacation or to help a relocating client find a new pet professional for their pet.
If you are new to this industry or plan on starting your own pet care business, this is certainly the place to start! Find out what it really takes to run your own pet care business, listen to valuable advice, and learn from others’ mistakes. You might even be able to find a professional willing to take you on as an apprentice while you learn the ropes.
If you are a new user, you will have to register first before being able to participate. If you plan on becoming a Professional Member we suggest that you choose a user name that reflects the name of your business. Once you complete the registration process a confirmation email will be sent to you to finalize the process. You must follow the instructions included in the email to fully activate your account. This email is sent instantaneously and you should receive it shortly after registering. If you don’t receive the email it is very likely it was redirected to your junk mail folder (especially if you are using Hotmail). Keep in mind that in this case any further communications from us or from other forum members will likely also be marked as junk by your service provider.
Once you have registered and your account has been approved, your next step should be to find your local regional forum (eg. Alberta). If you are looking for pet care, post your request in your regional “Looking for Pet Care” section. PLEASE NOTE! Only Professional Members are allowed full access to this forum. All other members can post a request for service, can participate in their own discussion, however you WILL NOT be able to see any one else's requests. Hence the forum will appear empty to you.
You are now ready to participate in the discussions. If you offer pet care, you should post in the “Introduce Yourself” section. Tell others briefly about what services you offer as well as any other relevant information about yourself such as experience or philosophy.* You should also fill out your user profile. You can access and edit your user profile and account options at any time by entering your personal Control Panel. To do so, click on the “User CP” button in the top left corner.
If you are a pet care professional, and wish to have access to client service requests and the private forums for professionals only, you will need to activate your Professional Membership status. Our Professional Membership fee is $15 (CAD) per year. Click on “User CP” in the top left corner. Your personal control panel options will be listed on your left. Click on “Paid Subscriptions”. Choose your subscription and click “Order”. You will then be prompted to cash out using Pay Pal. Upon receipt of payment your profile will be upgraded to Professional Member status.
You will gain full access to all of the regional “Looking for Pet Care” forums, allowing you to review all service requests as well as reply. You will be able to enter the “Professionals Corner” forums invisible to all regular forum members. You will also be able to enjoy a few forum based perks of being a Professional Member such as a larger Inbox for your Private Messages, the ability to upload a custom avatar, and more.
